UC San Diego's Center for Circadian Biology (CCB) will host its 10th Annual Circadian Biology Symposium. We have invited a select, stellar group of chronobiologists from around the country and beyond, and a few local colleagues, to speak at this symposium. We expect strong participation from our 52 CCB PI's and their research personnel, and welcome registrants from other institutions as well.

The aims of the conference are to:
- Provide participants with a comprehensive view of modern circadian biology.
- Exchange a broad spectrum of ideas and techniques in circadian biology.
- Promote interactions among the faculty and lab personnel of UC San Diego, Circadian Biology Center, the invited speakers, and other participants.
- Further acquaint the speakers, their groups, and other registrants with the depth and breadth of circadian biology research conducted at UC San Diego.

The Symposium will feature a half-day afternoon session on Wednesday beginning at 1pm, and full-day sessions on Thursday and Friday, ending with a Happy hour & Banquet dinner on Friday evening. Breakfast will be served at 8:30am on Thursday and Friday before sessions start at 9:00am.

Parking Information:
Sanford Consortium Parking - UPDATE The East parking lot prices have increased to $30 full day. Instructions: take note of the number on your parking space, pay station is near the base of the outdoor staircase. The machine accepts Visa, MC, Amex, and cash (machine will not give change). Important note to UCSD permit holders: If you plan to use this pay lot, remove your UCSD permit from view or you will receive a parking citation. DO NOT park in the west Sanford employee lot. Their permits are similar to UCSD, but have an additional sticker.
Free street parking on Torrey Pines Scenic Drive, but space is limited and fills up quickly.

Poster size & Display: We will provide easels and poster boards. The boards are 30”x 40”, which will accommodate a 3’x4’ poster. For larger posters (Maximum size 3’x5’), you may clamp two boards together.

The Center for Circadian Biology is excited to announce CCB Network Awards for trainees to attend the symposium, sponsored in part by generous private donors and Eisai. These awards will fund trainees whose activities and experiences contribute to expanding the diversity of scientists involved in biological rhythms research. Undergraduate and Masters students will receive priority for awards, but PhD students will also be considered.
Applications must include:
- A brief essay that includes the career goals and interests of the applicant, why a conference focused on circadian biology advances those goals, and statement regarding the activities and/or background of the applicant that demonstrates potential to foster diversity and inclusion (1 page maximum)
- CV (2 page maximum)
- A letter of reference from a scientific advisor that addresses the value of the conference to the student, and the student’s contribution to the conference (may be uploaded with application or emailed separately to: sgolden@ucsd.edu)
- Poster abstract
- Title (maximum of 150 characters, including spaces),
- All authors’ full names and affiliation,
- Abstract body (maximum of 500 words),
- References cited (optional)

Recipients of the award will receive a full registration scholarship. Recipients from outside of the San Diego area will also be reimbursed for travel expenses to fully support attending the conference.
