CCB Fall Workshop on Biological Timing
Another outstanding CCB Fall Workshop was shared by 70 attendees including 11 speakers. Everyone enjoyed a variety of speakers including Staff Scientists, postdocs, and PhD students.

Time-restricted feeding improves Alzheimer's pathology
New work from the Desplats laboratory at the UCSD Neurosciences shows that limiting the time allowed for daily feeding, but without caloric restriction, rescues brain transcriptional rhythms and significantly ameliorates neuropathology and memory deficits in mice models of Alzheimer's disease.

$2.5M Gift for Circadian
Philanthropists Irwin and Joan Jacob's $1M gift to honor Stuart Brody will help establish the Stuart and Barbara L. Brody Endowed Chair in Circadian Biology and Medicine, with an additional $1.5M to support the research of the Brody chairholder, toward a future of medicine helped by circadian biology.

13th Annual Center for Circadian Biology Symposium
CCB hosted a very successful 13th Annual CCB Symposium, held in person at the Scripps Seaside Forum, April 11-13, 2023. We wish to thank our 130 attendees and 18 outstanding speakers. Attendees were well represented from 4 countries and 13 states.

Stuart Brody Elected 2022 AAAS Fellow
Prof Stuart Brody founding member of the CCB has been awarded to be one of the 2022 Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). His lab's contributions in deciphering the biochemical and genetic aspects of chronobiology is immense. They use Neurospora to understand mechanisms of clockwork.
